Loving right now...

I have no idea about nail polish, but I know what the latest trend is! Everyone is talking about the Chanel Mimosa nail polish.... and I like this color, yes I do!

Apparently it is not released yet, so I can't go and see what i looks like with my own eyes, but I can definitely say now that I will not be buying it! I will indeed get a much cheaper option.

Scketchbook stuff

In one of my latest projects I conducted various researches. One of them was to research about the word Matriarchy so I could come up with visuals related to the subject.

I came up with this painting of a Nair lady. This painting dates from 1928 by Rao Bahadur M. V. Dhurandhar.

A couple of days later browsing through my March issue of Vogue magazine UK, I came across this other image, from the editorial 'Ocean Colour Scene' by Mario Testino.

I find it fascinating how alike pictures and images from different eras are...

Mannequins

Tomorrow I am visiting the VM and Display Show at the Business Design Center in Islington. Just because of that, I think this is a great time to show you this video directed by Upper First, where they used mannequins to screen their amazing visuals, creating a really cool effect almost as if the mannequins were dressed.

Hi there!

I haven't posted for over a month now. I had to concentrate and spend all my time in some of my university projects. Now that the work is done I will be posting again all the things that get my attention.

I will also try to post a couple of visuals from one of my projects soon. Don't get too excited as it is my first project and it is just that, the first one!

Anyway, now just think of a really famous drink, and a really famous designer, mix it all together and what you get???

I'm back!

After a few days away I'm back with this Chanel animated video by Peter Philips. After watching this video I'm thinking of incorporating animation, and music to my desing for visual merchandiding assingment presentation. Whatever I come up with for the project I will post it here!

Just Pose

Yesterday, I received the newsletter for NEO2. At first when I saw the email, just for a second, I thought it was NEO2 replying to the question on my first post What are you into? and that their answer was I am into creativity...

Anyway, they have created for their 100th issue a really cool interactive video using VJ tools and different video editing software. You can create your own creative videos by mixing the different sound and image loops.

I couldn't quite work out how to do it at the beginning, even though they explain it well, but when I got into it I really enjoyed creating some cool little videos.

It is a shame they haven't created a facility where you can record the videos and post them, and have a little competition, so we could also see what other people come up with!

Today

I just feel like hiding under my blanket and watch crap TV all day....thank god I have a little one to cheer me up.

Another Saturday

This term I have to attend lectures every Saturday....I know it doesn't sound appealing, but at the end of the day this is what I want to do, and I realised yesterday as the lecture went on that I have no idea about basic culture, and that I should have probably spent more time studying during the years...

I guess it is never too late to learn, and I promise myself to be more dedicated and more opinionated....

After the lecture, I met my boyfriend in East London,

Coming back home, I spotted this Chanel van driving in front of my car....Anyway, I could only think what wonderful things might have been inside the van....

London

Two weekends ago, I felt a bit distressed at home so we decided to drive without any specific direction.

We ended up in central London, which made us rediscover what an amazing city we live in and fell in love with it once again....

H&M once again!

Last year it was the Garden Collection, and this year H&M are proving with the Conscious Collection that organic cotton is not the only material to create a fashion statement.

The Conscious Collection will be made from greener materials such as organic cotton and linen, Tencel and recycled polyester. 

Different shades of white inspired the collection. It will be a minimalist, tailored look combined with lace, Broderie Anglaise, frills and draping. 

 I haven't seen more pictures of the collection, but considering what I can see from the picture above, I can sense a very romantic vibe very in accordance to this summer 70's looks.

The Conscious Collection will be on sale in all H&M stores from 14 April. We will have to hit the shops to check it out first hand!

Moss in the Everglade

Fashion photographers Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinood Matadin decided to place some strategic cameras while the fall/winter 2010/11 Balmain campaign was being shot. Then the artist Jo Ratcliffe added the great animations, making this video my own transport to an oneric state of mind....

H&M is clogging again!

Next 20th of April we will have the honour to see in stores  H&M's new collaboration. This time with the clog maker Swedish Hasbeens.

I personally love Swedish Hasbeens foot wear, and I have been wanting to dress my beloved feet with a pair of these clogs since last season. Unfotunately my poor finances haven't allowed me to purchase a pair, and I got rather excited with the idea of H&M's cheaper option (starting at £34.99)
But! will I risk it buying this second option or will my feet be better off with the original ones?? I can only tell when I try them on!

Regardless of whatever my choice would be I'm already in love with the red sandals and the peep toe wedge!!

I took this picture yesterday as I was walking down the stairs from the library. It cought my eye and decided to capture what made me smile right in that moment...
